Bingham Bryant is a director, writer and producer based between Lisboa and New York City. His debut solo feature EL ESPEJISMO premiered at FID Marseille and was selected for Seminci and doclisboa. His shorts FOREIGN POWERS and DOOMED AND FAMOUS premiered at the NYFF and UNTITLED at FID Marseille. His feature FOR THE PLASMA (co-directed with Kyle Molzan) was described by IndieWire as “a liberating alternative to anything else in recent American cinema” and in The New Yorker as “by any standard, remarkable.”
His critical writing and interviews have been published in MUBI Notebook, Filmmaker and Narrow Margin. He was also the cinematographer of Rita Azevedo Gomes’ FUCK THE POLIS. He is a graduate of Spain’s EQZE. He has produced films by filmmakers including Agostina Gálvez, Francisco Lezama and Maria Novo, and is currently preparing feature projects by Nina Menkes and Zachary Epcar.
