Sergio Oksman (Sao Paulo, Brazil, 1970) is a screenwriter, director, producer, and film professor. He has directed feature-length documentaries such as A Esteticista / The Beautician (2004), which participated in the Punto de Vista Festival and was included in the retrospective “4+1 Contemporary Brazilian Cinema” at the 2012 San Sebastián Film Festival, Goodbye, America (2006), O Futebol / On Football (2015), which competed in Locarno and Mar del Plata, and Querido Fotogramas (Made in Spain, 2018). In 2012, he won the Goya for Best Documentary Short Film with A Story for the Modlins, nominated for the European Film Awards, awarded at festivals such as BAFICI, Clermont-Ferrand, and Karlovy Vary, and screened at Sundance.
