Hoje AMA-SAN estreia nos cinemas portugueses:
HIGH CITIES OF BONE by João Salaviza it’s the director’s return to Berlin, where in 2012 he won the Golden Bear for the short film Rafa.
The oficial Short Selection was announced today and the festival will happen between 9th and 19th February.
Nyo Vweta Nafta, by Ico Costa, will premiere at International Tiger Competition for Short Film at IFFR, that happens between January 25th and Februay 5th, in Rotterdam.
At the section BRIGHT FUTURE our short films AN AVIATION FIELD by Joana Pimenta and SEPTEMBER by Leonor Noivo, were selected, after their premiere at Locarno’16, and the awards at ZINEBI in Bilbao.

TERRATREME returns to Doclisboa’16 from 20th to 30th October, with the debut of three new feature films in the national competition: A CIDADE ONDE ENVELHEÇO, by Marília Rocha (National Premiere), AMA-SAN, by Cláudia Varejão (National Premiere) and TERCEIRO ANDAR, by Luciana Fina (World Premiere).
We will also shown the four films of the documentary series TRACKING THE NATURALISTS, a co-production TERRATREME / Centro de Ecologia Funcional da Universidade de Coimbra. Shot in different destinations and directed by several directors, we have ANGOLA by André Godinho, MOZAMBIQUE by JOÃO NICOLAU, SÃO TOMÉ E PRÍNCIPE by Tiago Hespanha and Luisa Homem and PHILOSOPHICAL JOURNEYS by Susana Nobre. The latter will be integrated into the presentation of new scientific film festival SCI DOC, to be held in Lisbon in December.
In DocAlliance section, TERRATREME have two films on display by the dual directors Miguel Seabra Lopes and Karen Akerman: a feature film MAYBE DESERT, MAYBE THE UNIVERSE (awarded two prizes in competition at Doclisboa’15) and the short film CONFIDENTE
CAMPO by Tiago Hespanha, was selected for the second edition of Arché, a laboratory of professional activities on Doclisboa. It’s a film essay in Europe’s largest military base, where the military train with all sort of weapons missions to be developed in distant places. Mingled in this war set ludic and scientific activities happen and wild animals run free around bombs warehouses.
